Twitter to Begin Charging Users to Protect Their Accounts via SMS Messages From March
Twitter on Friday said that it would begin charging users to secure their accounts via SMS-based two-factor authentication. Twitter Blue subscribers will be able to continue receiving SMS messages after entering their password when logging in to Twitter. Users who do not pay can use third party 2FA authentication apps or hardware security keys instead.
