ChatGPT Creator OpenAI Releases 'Imperfect' Software to Identify AI-Generated Text

ChatGPT creator OpenAI on Wednesday released a tool designed to detect AI-generated text. While the tool is in public beta, OpenAI says it is very "unreliable" on texts under 1,000 characters, adding that the AI-written text can also be edited to trick the detection tool.
