US-backed OTF Said to Provide Funding to Help Russians Bypass Censorship With Free VPN Access
Users in Russia are being given free access to virtual private networks (VPNs) as part of a US-backed campaign to help them dodge Moscow’s anti-censorship software. The Open Technology Fund is said to be paying out money to firms like Psiphon and nthLink which have provided VPN access to an estimated four million users in Russia.
