US Adds Dozens of Chinese Firms Including Chipmaker SMIC and Drone Company SZ DJI to Trade Blacklist
US on Friday said that it was adding dozens of Chinese companies, including the country's top chipmaker SMIC and Chinese drone manufacturer SZ DJI Technology to a trade blacklist. The US Commerce Department said the action against SMIC stems from Beijing's efforts to harness civilian technologies for military purposes.
