Giant Hawaii Telescope Builders Say No Construction This Year Due to Coronavirus Pandemic

Construction of the giant Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) in Hawaii may not begin until next year, owing to the coronavirus pandemic. TMT International Observatory Vice President Gordon Squires said that bringing personnel and equipment from the US mainland could now take much longer than usual.
