Apple App Store Chief Phil Schiller Says Brand Aimed to Level Playing Field for Developers
When launched in 2008, Apple App Store decided to treat all apps in the service in the same way. Top executive Philip W. Schiller said, “One set of rules for everybody, no special deals, no special terms, no special code, everything applies to all developers the same.”
